Mercedes Benz with its beautiful designs and precision engineering is in many ways representative of the great achievements of the German motor industry. However it has not always been plain sailing for Mercedes, they have gone through some very difficult times; one such occasion was quite recently, when there were so many concerns about Mercedes reliability that contract hire and leasing companies were reluctant to recommend Mercedes. There was some evidence of contract hire brokers switching potential Mercedes buyers into other marques, such as BMW and Audi. The Mercedes model that was most criticized in the motoring press was the M Class.

During 2003 Which Magazine carried out a survey and downgraded Mercedes Benz by two categories; they went from being classed as best for reliability, to average. Although in the report, The Consumer Association criticised all the German Manufacturers, saying that they had all declined in recent years. Perhaps what was most surprising is that it emerged that the manufacturer motorists complained most about was Volkswagen.

Some feel that when the BBC’s Top Gear programme gets a bee in its bonnet about a particular manufacturer, that they can go too far in their critisism. When they placed the Mercedes M Class last out of 142 cars surveyed, it did appear to be a little harsh but to be fair it wasn’t that far out of line with what others were saying about the car. In any event Mercedes realised that things had to change and they have indeed changed; Mercedes Benz have made great strides in restoring their good name.

Karl Benz was based in Mannheim when he invented what has become known as the world’s first automobile, it was patented in 1886. Benz called it the Benz Patent Motorwagen. It had three wheels which were hardly wider than those of today’s bicycle wheels, the occupants were completely exposed to the elements and subjected to a very bumpy ride. In those days lights to enable the driver to see and be seen, hadn’t been thought of.

The Daimler Riding Car was invented by Gottleib Daimler and William Maybach, it had an internal combustion engine. In practice the vehicle was a motorcycle, it seems strange that the world’s first motorcylcle should be called a car. The engine had just one upright cylinder and was capable of a maximum of 13 Kilometres per hour. Due to it’s one upright cylinder, it became know as the Grandfather Clock engine. Interestingly Benz and Daimler were working in close proximity to each other, some 100 Kilometres apart but neither was aware of the other, or the work that they were carrying out.

The Grandfather Clock engine was installed in Daimler and Maybach’s motorised carraige which was launched in 1886. It had a top speed of 18 Kilometres per hour which was considered fast. This time the vehicle had four wheels, the worlds first car with four wheels. The car that Karl Benz patented had three wheels. At an exhibition in Paris in 1889 Daimler exhibited their “wire wheel” car. There was considerable interest in the vehicle, some say that it was seeing this vehicle on display that caused the birth of the French car indusry.

During the 1890’s Benz was producing four wheel vehicles, with two, three and four seats. By now Benz had worked out how to make the front wheels turn independently of each other, this made the car a lot safer when negotiating bends.

Benz developed the two seater Velocipide in 1894, it had two seats and was capable of 20 KPH. He sold a large number; some 1200, which in those days was a considerable number. He had less success with his motorized bus; roads were still in poor condition, this combined with the vehicle’s narrow wheels made it quite impractical. It had probably not occurred to anyone at the time, that wider wheels would have made a big difference.

A two cylinder belt driven car was brought out by Daimler in 1896. The two cylinders didn’t help much with it’s top speed, which was 18 mph. The world’s first truck was produced byDaimler, it was a flat bed truck. The fact that it was only capable of 11 Kilometres per hour, didn’t stop it being very popular, they were used mainly for deliveries, even Britain imported some of these vehicles. Daimler launced a new goods vehicle, it could transport loads of 500 Kilograms. It was similar in appearance to one of the covered, dome shaped, horse drawn wagons from the days of the wild west.

The Dos a Dos car was launched by Benz in 1899 had a strange seat configuration; it had four seats two would face the rear of the vehicle and two the front. It was however fast at over 35 Kilometres per hour.

When Daimler died in 1990, control of the company passed to William Maybach. A very succesful motor racing driver and businessman, Emil Jellinek told Maybach that he should produce cars that were faster and more modern in design. He also asked Maybach to call his cars Mercedes; his young daughter’s name. This is where the name Mercedes, that the cars still carry today, originated.

A number of more modern and faster car were produced by Daimler, in the early 1900’s. There was the 40 horsepower Mercedes Simplex that suceeded the 35 horsepower model. It was a single seater car with a top speed of 80 Kilometres per hour by now the car had 4 cylinders. One of these models is believed to be the oldest Mercedes still in existence.

The 18 horsepower Double Phaeton was launched by Benz in 1905,then in 1907 the six cylinder 75 hp Double Phaeton. Its top speed exceeded 94 kilometres per hour, very fast for its day. By now Benz was enjoying success in motor racing, as were Mercedes.

As with the British motor manufacturers, during the First World War production was switched to producing military vehicles. At the end of the war the German economy was virtually destroyed; inflation was rising rapidly, there was a shortage of fuel and a luxury tax had been placed on cars, making the cost of a car out of the reach of the average person. Quite a contrast from today, where for around 300 a month on contract hire, one can be driving a new Mercedes Benz.

It is said that in 1924 Daimler made an approach to Benz and proposed a merger but it did not go ahead. However during 1924 economic conditions were taking their toll on both companies and a merger agreement was signed by the parties and was finalized in 1926.

After the war Mercedes launched a sports car, it had two seats and a supercharged engine, the top speed was impressive at over 108kph. In 1927 Mercedes Benz then produced a touring car; they called it the Model S, the Model S was even faster at 160 kph. At the time it was hard to imagine that greater speeds could be achieved but one year later the SSK Sports was launched. It seems strange that it was specifically produced for hill climb racing, because one would have thought that that was quite a limited market. It had an extraordinary top speed approaching 200 kph.

The model 550K was launched by Mercedes Benz in 1934. There was a version called The Special Roadster, the maximum speed was 160 kph. It was a spectacular looking vehicle that most people even today would consider to be an elegant and beautiful car. At the time the car cost 28,000 Marks, which was a considerable amount of money.

The successor to the 500k was the 540K. It was very similar in appearance but a little faster at about 170 kilometres per hour. At the same time Mercedes Benz were producing the Mercedes- Benz 770, a large luxury limousine that the heads of industry would often have as their chauffeur driven vehicle. In these times quite surprisingly low numbers of some of the models were produced; approaching 420 of 540K were made and fewer than 120 of the Mercedes- Benz 770.

During the Second World War Mercedes Benz become embroiled in controversy, with accusations of forced labour being used in their factories. Because Mercedes were part of the German war effort, the allied forces heavily targeted their factories. At the end of the war virtually all their factories had been destroyed. With hardly any machinery remaining and no raw materials available things looked bleak. However by 1948 they had re-started production. 1951 saw the launch of the Mercedes Benz 300 saloon, it was a prestige car and over 4500 were sold. Mercedes also produced the 300S convertible.

The motoring world didn’t quite know what had hit them, when the two door hardtop Mercedes Gull Wing was launched in the 1950s. It had two doors that opened up which did indeed look very much like gull’s wings. It was by any standards an amazing design. It cost $10,000 in The United States, which was a considerable amount of money; nevertheless they were highly popular and a great deal were sold. A Gull Wing Mercedes was sold at auction during 2006 for $777,240 Australian Dollars approximately $715,000 American Dollars. 1957 saw the launch of the Mercedes 300 SL; Americans bought a considerable number of the 300 SL. It was fast, reaching almost 250 kph, which is over 150 mph.

As long ago as the 1960s Mercedes were carrying out quite sophisticated vehicle testing, sophisticated that is, for those times. It is hard to imagine in today’s world of high technology that the system they used for transmitting data from the test vehicle to another vehicle that gathered the information was a long cable, running between the two cars. Clearly it was important for both vehicles to drive at the same speed.

The first sports car to have a crumple free zone was launched by Mercedes in 1963, the 230 SL. It was slower than some of their earlier sports cars, under 200 kph. The car’s lack of speed, certainly didn’t affect sale, nearly 20,000 were sold. Mercedes then started producing cars with anti-lock brakes in 1978. They were also the first manufacturer to introduce airbags, in 1981. Who knows how many lives have been saved by Mercedes dedicated commitment to road safety over the years.

The 190E came out in 1982 and in 11 years sold an incredible 638,000.Throughout the 80’s and 90’s Mercedes continued to sell large numbers of cars and in 1998 Daimler Benz merged with The Chrysler Corporation, effectively a takeover by Daimler Benz and formed Daimler Chrysler. It was not a success and in 2007 Daimler sold 80.1% of Chrysler to Cerberus Capital Management for $7.4 Billion, having initially invested $36 billion in 1998.

This has allowed Mercedes Benz to get back on track and concentrate on their build quality. Now after their recent of ups and downs, they have restored their good name and reputation. Contract hire companies are no longer nervous about recommending the marque and the prestige that has always been associated with Mercedes Benz remains intact.

The most important thing Internet marketers need is traffic. Without traffic (targeted traffic) how would you make any sales? It doesn’t matter how good your website is traffic is key. You could have the best headlines and sales copy on the planet and it wouldn’t make a bit of difference in your bottom line. That is because, without a sufficient amount of traffic you will not do very well. This article is going to reveal four very simple things that can be put to use immediately. These are time tested and proven methods for getting targeted traffic to flow to your capture page.

Write articles. This is a great technique that does more than just bring traffic to you. It puts you in the position to show your expertise and build trust in your prospects’ minds. This is very important. People have to trust you if they are going to order. Nobody will buy from you if they don’t first feel comfortable with you. Articles are a great way to “break the ice”.

Here is what to do. Write a bunch of articles relating to your particular marketa and submit two articles per week to major article sites. Located at the bottom of each article is an area that is cajjed the “resource” area. In the resource area you are allowed to include a signature or “bio”. Only in the resource are are you allowed to include links to your website. If you write an article of value, readers will click the link and be taken to your website. This is why it is extremely important to provide useful, high quality information. People will only want to visit your website if you give them something of value first.

Exchange links with popular sites. This method works on two levels. First of all, you will receive traffic through the your links posted on other sites. Also, as more and more websites link to yours, your search engine rankings naturally begin to rise. This can be a major source of traffic. Showing up on the first page of results in the major search engines can bring you tens of thousands of visitors per month.

Here is how to get links to your site. Look up sites that relate to the theme of your website. Ask them to do a link exchange with you. In the email provide a link to the page that you are displaying their link on. Now the ball is in their court. They will either accept your offer or not. If they refuse to do an exchange with you take their link off of your site.

Use Pay Per Click advertising. Although Pay Per Click costs money, it can be a very good way to drive targeted traffic to your site. If you select your keywords with care and make proper bidding choices it can be a very cost effective and useful tool to add to your marketing plan. Google Adwords and Overture are the two top Pay Per Click companies. However, Yahoo and MSN offer pay per click advertising as well, often for less cost per click than the “big guys.” To get the most out of Pay Per Click advertising you need to be armed with at least a bit of knowledge on the subject. I suggest buying a book or ebook on the in’s and out’s of pay per click advertising before starting a campaign.

Submit videos to video sites. Videos are one of the best ways to get yourself “found” on the internet. Major league videos can also be made with the most basic equipment. For instance, you can use a small digital camera with a movie mode or an inexpensive webcam. Processing your movie can be done using a free video editing program that is part of your Windows operating system.

Here is what to do. Make a video about your product, business or opportunity. Upload your video to Youtube and give it a catchy title and description based on the content. Writing a good title and description is what drives or attracts an audience to your video. For instance, make sure to do some keyword research and use those keywords or “tags” that are geared for the audience that you want to reach. I could go on about keywords and titles but that is a subject for another article. But for now, you can simply learn from what others are doing. Do a search on Youtube for videos that deal with the same subject matter. Look at the descriptions and tags that are on the most highly viewed videos and “learn” from them!

The traffic generation strategies mentioned above can make a huge difference in getting you traffic. I suggest using them all. This will give you the most traffic possible in the shortest amount of time. Of course there are many other things that can be done, but these methods mentioned are very easy to impliment and are very effective. Remember one thing, the more effort you put into the methods provided in this article the better they will work for you. Period!

Horses aren’t considered domestic animals, but they are capable assistants that could help owners perform different and complex activities. Therefore we need a horse trainer to train them.

Until a horse trainer is brought in to assist the owners, they will not be able to obey what they want in an instant. This is because after being a while in the wild, the horses will be hard to control.

Traditionally, horses have been trained for different tasks, like for transport, for farm works, for sports and even for warfare.

It is therefore very important that horses undergo training sessions, where they will be taught the basic skills and tricks to perform many different helpful tasks.

Acquiring the assistance of a horse trainer

If you would like to make full use of the horses’ assistant in carrying the tasks given, then you need to employ a horse trainer. He would be able to unlock the full potentials of the horse. Training sessions will only be possible after the trainer has conditioned the mindset of the horse so that it could be open to learning tricks.

What must you look for when looking for a reliable horse trainer? Look for your peers’ and other horse owners’ recommendations.

Your peers’ advice will be a great help to you in looking for a reliable trainer. If that doesn’t help go to the local veterinarian. He would be able to suggest the best horse trainer in your community. In addition he will also know if the horse trainer is reliable and trustworthy to do the work.

The good news is that there are some vets who also offer horse training services. However only a handful of them are doing it due to the effort and patience involved in the training.

If you can find a vet that provide training services, you might as well employ a horse trainer immediately. The links and contacts can be obtained from the online Craig’s list or from the traditional and online classified.

The potential new horse trainer when being interviewed must give his personal and work history data to you. This is to ensure your horse is getting the best services.

Several accreditations from horse training bodies and industry groups are also being provided to certify a horse trainer’s capabilities. If the applicant holds one, then, you are assured that the horse trainer would be the perfect candidate for the position.

How to choose the best candidate as a horse trainer

it is a relative and case to case basis in choosing the best horse trainer. This is because horse owners’ preferences and standards are not the same, one that is good enough for the standard of one horse owner may not be good enough for you.

Therefore, relying wholly on the experiences of other horse owners on horse trainers shouldn’t be your practice. Even if the recommendations are convincing. Instead caution should be taken based on your own discretion and insights.

During the interview process, you can get an idea of the overall disposition of the applicants. This will enable you to hire a reliable horse trainer, but don’t be too confident that the overall care for the horse is guaranteed.

Every man or woman in his or her prime ceaselessly longs for the ability to look the way they had 20 years before, and this longing leads to indiscretion when choosing among anti-age creams. But in an altered perspective of the situation, there may truly be hope.

The average person can be forgiven if she - or he, for that matter - feels thoroughly confused after even a cursory research pertaining to answer the question: what is the best anti wrinkle cream? With so many creams claiming to be able to magically erase our lines, how do we decide which one is worthy of being taken to the check-out point?

The reason for the lingering in the aisles is the fact that there are indeed numerous options. in the competitive world we live in, manufacturers are being pushed to find unique, novel solutions to a truly ageless problem. But in any case, the only creams that provide satisfactory results are those that are based with Vitamin A, Retinol.

But the process of approving Retinol is not making much progress. This is causing the older consumer population to come up penniless and hopeless as they search through the stores amongst the medicines that seem to repopulate and reform each day.

In truth, the variety of creams and the chemicals in each one help dissolve age with each application, so there’s no way to prove on any one elder whether a certain cream works better or not. The mysteries of the strange new creams continue to lay dormant.

In fact, there are several ingredients which can help reduce the signs of age. Aside from Vitamin A, creams with AHA (alpha hydroxyl acids), antioxidants based on derivatives of vitamins A, C, and E, coenzyme Q10, collagen or copper have been studied and proven in some way effective for fighting age. Some even claim that orchid extracts have some effect on age lines. But despite the hopes of many older people, it isn’t possible to put all of the ingredients together into one truly effective anti-age cream.

Therefore, your best bet would be to periodically change from a cream that contains one type of wrinkle-fighting ingredient to a cream that contains another type of wrinkle-fighting ingredient. That way, your skin will over time get a variety of possibly beneficial ingredients. It is often a good idea to go by what your friends recommend, even though what is the best anti wrinkle cream for your friend is not necessarily the best for your specific skin type. Listen to your skin, and it will soon tell you what it likes and what it does not like!

There may not be a perfect solution to the problem of ever-increasing age, but with time and varying trials the chances are greater. It’s best for one to make an educated choice and keep with the same choice for at least three months. Some researchers say that the main reason why the medicines don’t show any changes is because the people who apply it give up too easily.

With the demands of a full family life, few of us will ever be able to sneak away for the amount of time that a full-blown spa treatment entails. However, that doesn’t dictate that you can’t take a little break and indulge yourself in a mini-treatment - say something like a massage or a facial. With Mother’s day approaching, think about how wonderful it would be to pamper her, or if you are the mother, yourself, with a trip to the spa.

A facial leaves you with a feeling that is hard to duplicate. Afterwards you will feel completely clean and refreshed. When you also get a massage, it makes the whole world seem like a better place. You can close your eyes and listen to beautiful music in a softly lit room as you enjoy your escape.

A few things you should know if this is your first visit to the spa. It is recommended that you enjoy the hot tubs, steam rooms and saunas before your massage in order to start the relaxation process. If you are also getting a facial, it will also help to make your skin softer and speed the exfoliation process.

But, once you go to a spa, it is best to take advantage of both facial and massage. Don’t hesitate to remove your clothes for the massage; you don’t know what you are missing because of this shyness. In any case, they provide you with enough sheets to cover your entire body. You must know that the people who service you are professionals, and are aware of your first-time jitters. Listen to the recommendations of the professionals and drink plenty of water before you go for a sauna otherwise you can become dehydrated during the sauna. It also helps in the cleansing process.

This is time to relax and enjoy a pampering. If you do have concerns, talk to the people at the spa before you start, so you can get them out of the way. This way you will free your mind of concerns and be able to enjoy the massage. Let yourself go, and let the masseuse do their job, and you will feel better than you have in a long time.

So get up and get going.

Unique Article Wizard Review

This weeks review in on an article submitter called Unique Article Wizard. UAW is a submitter that is a web based application. At first use the site is very user friendly. Someone with minimal computer skill and knowledge and easily navigate through the site and accomplish the required tasks needed to submit articles.

The unique feature of this article submitter wizard is that it will take an article that you write and turn it into hundreds if not thousands of unique articles. I know it sounds too good to be true, so let me explain how it works. First you write your article. Then you load it into the website. The more paragraphs the better, the system suggests 8 paragraphs.

Once you have the article loaded. The wizard will walk you through rewriting each paragraph 2 times. This gives you 3 different versions of each paragraph. This is how they create all the unique articles form just one. It mixes each of the different versions of each paragraph together to give you the same story but presented many different ways. It really works amazingly well. The new article versions still read very well and do not have a persona of being auto generated.

After rewriting all of the paragraphs you can add multiple reference boxes to each article. You can include back links with keyword anchor text to help your site achieve higher page rankings.

Once all the versions are created UAW takes and automatically submits these articles all over the web for you. To thousands of article sites. This entire process is hands off. You can choose to submit to all of them at once or to just a few a day, it’s up to you. The end result is tons of articles submitted all over the web.

When this review was written, I had 3 days prior written an article on Global Resorts Network vs EDC Gold and Carbon Copy Pro. Just 3 days later I held the number 1 spot on Google for the search term. “Global Resorts Network vs Carbon Copy Pro”. I would say it works very well.

People who are lacking in space but would still like a pet that is both loyal and cute often adopt a Chihuahua. Chihuahuas are so appealing because they are so small. However, their cute, small stature is what makes raising a Chihuahua a bit more challenging.

One of the funniest things about Chihuahuas is that they have no clue how small they actually are. Many times they are referred to as a “big dog in a small dog’s body” and they are so defensive that they don’t think twice about confronting the biggest dog on the block. Consequently, you need to always keep tabs on your Chihuahua without ever letting them go outside without you monitoring them.

If the Chi you get is still a puppy, it’s important that you feed him or her high quality dog food. Until a Chi puppy is three months old, you should feed him four times daily, keeping the meals smaller. When your Chi reaches three months of age, reduce it to three smaller meals each day until six months. From six months to a year, you only need to feed them two times each day.

One feeding per day is appropriate after your Chihuahua is a year old. Most Chi’s prefer to eat several small meals rather than one large one. Hard food may be the best choice for your Chi as some dogs of this breed have a difficult time digesting canned food and can develop diarrhea as a result.

Chihuahua are not only lovable but they are also easy to take care of. In fact, they are quite easy to bathe without any great resistance from them. It is recommended that anyone raising a Chihuahua bathe them once in a month. Over bathing could remove the natural oils from their furs and would also cause dandruff.

When bathing your Chihuahua, make sure that no water will get into his ears. Their ears are very sensitive to infection especially when they are wet. So if you notice any redness or if he keeps itching his ears, take him right away to the veterinarian.

Dog obedience for your Chihuahua is not only good for potty training and teaching “dog manners” but it is essential for safety. If your dog is trained to obey your voice commands, you will, in essence, be communicating with your dog. Start with potty training, then move on to sit, stay, come, and be quiet.

It is best to trim your Chi’s nails every month. Cat claw trimmers can also be used to your Chi which is scissor-shaped and has a round indent for the claw. Start trimming your Chi’s nails even at an earlier age so that he will easily be accustomed to it. You’ll have more enjoyable grooming session with your pet later on.

Chihuahuas are susceptible to weak knees and this can affect them as they get older. Monitor your Chi’s gait as he walks and if you notice him beginning to have trouble, take him to the Vet’s and have him checked out.

Proper Veterinary attention is an essential part of raising a Chihuahua. Be sure to take your pet in for the necessary shots and worming when he is a puppy and follow up with checkups, booster shots, and teeth and ear cleaning as your Vet recommends.

You will surely enjoy the company of Chihuahuas for they are by nature loyal, gentle, bright and also affectionate. And with your loving care, you can insure they live a long and healthy life.

The bikers always say that you should never leave your home without a helmet. Helmet is the most popular headgear protective to motorcyclists as it is very reliable immaterial of the type of helmet. There are so mainly four types of helmets namely full face helmet, half helmet, classic open face helmet and open face retro DOT helmet. The main purpose of the helmet is to provide motorcycle safety to the rider by protecting the biker’s head in case of an accident. Moreover, the helmet gives protection to the biker’s nose, eyes and ears. In addition, it provides proper ventilation and protects from the elements.

Why should we use a helmet in the first place? A helmet will certainly reduce injuries during accidents if it cannot prevent them entirely. Most of the fatal accidents can be easily avoided if the motorcyclists protect themselves particularly in the face or head area. During accidents, the impacts or skull injuries may cause injuries to the brain and result in death. Many people are not aware of the fact that a classic open face helmet can give better protection than the full-face helmet and save a life from death in a crash. The reminiscent rider may prefer an open face retro Dot helmet, which is made to safety standards. It is stylish and gives protection as well. However, Snell or DOT standards consider that a classic open face helmet is much better for the biker.

A classic open face helmet serves the purpose of protection as it covers the skull’s base and back, although compared to a full-face, the former is more limited than the latter without the chin armor protection. The open face helmet, even one that comes with a face shield or visor, is somewhat at a disadvantage in offering protection from the wind, dust, insects, and other stray foreign objects. Some riders complement the classic open face helmet with goggles or sunglasses or nose and mouth guards.

Some riders are partial to the classic open face helmet over the other types available because of the feeling of freedom associated with it. The rider is protected, but not bound by the constricting feeling of the full-face helmet or the feelings of inadequacy that might be produced by the shorty. In an accident, a shorty can easily shift or come undone, but a shorty is still better than no helmet at all! Described as comfortable and airy the open face helmet can be securely fastened to guarantee protection. An open face retro DOT helmet is even capable of getting the job done, notwithstanding the retro colors and styles, as long as the DOT standard is adhered to.

To ride into the open wind on a sports motorcycle or a cruiser is one of the cherished enjoyments motorcyclists look forward to in every ride. Some will even say that if the rider cannot feel the wind on his face, it does not feel like riding a motorcycle at all. A rider thus opts for a classic open face helmet so that he can feel the rush of the wind on his face without the restriction of a face shield or a chin guard. Riding motorcycles after all, as they say, should be a breezily enjoyable and free-flowing experience!
