You would be hard pressed to find any computer connected to the Internet without some type of anti-virus software to protect from the thousands of viruses circulating the World Wide Web. However, viruses can hit more than just computers. We need to learn how to protect all vulnerable technology such as routers, networks, and servers.

Routers are used to route network traffic, and are basically a special type of computer. Servers work to serve computers on a specific network.

They typically have more space, more memory, and are faster. There are several different types of servers, such as web servers, file servers, and email and ftp servers.

Anti-virus software is a must for all of these types of systems. They are vulnerable to the same viruses which plague our PCs. Therefore we must work diligently to ensure that they are protected from malicious viruses such as Trojans.

One way that servers and routers can be infected by viruses is from computers which are connected to them. Users can help by ensuring that there computer’s are virus free and thereby prevent the spread to servers or routers.

Users can do this by not only installing and running anti-virus software, but also by using Internet browsers which allow them to limit what types of websites can be visited and what those websites that are allowed may install.

It is also important for all users on a network to be diligent when it comes to opening emails. Most viruses are spread via email attachments which usually come in the form as an executable file, but may come with image attachments as well. Users should never open an email attachment if they don’t know the source or if it hasn’t been scanned for viruses.

In order to better protect servers, routers, and other important systems on our networks, technology companies are working towards better security options. Preventing viruses is vital to keep networks running smoothly.

Tourism is often viewed as one of the more volatile industries as it can be affected in so many different ways yet we all risk our hard earned each year when we book that trip. Some people either don’t think of getting travel insurance or they just don’t want to whilst others may think they are in perfect health plus physically active so what could go wrong and if something does, they will deal with it then.

However, this attitude does not really make sense when you consider the potential problems that can befall any vacation it is amazing and the cost of this protection is a miserly 5 to 10 percent of the total cost of the vacation package. Not only could you be prevented from traveling through accident or illness but even worse, they could happen when you were on vacation and in which case you could either lose the deposit or be forced to pay local medical bills.

Remember that if you cancel at the last minute for any reason you will lose all the money you have paid out with no recourse. Travel insurance cover will allow for situations like this along with emergency repatriation, medical expenses, stolen or lost luggage, airline delays and many more incidents that can become expensive.

The number of people that forfeit their vacation deposit each year is astonishing and they could all claim it back if they had travel insurance. Any good travel insurance plan should ensure you are covered for vacation and trip cancellation in which case any money that has been paid towards the trip can be claimed back.

Most trip cancellation plans also include refunds when a trip is interrupted and will include other trips that deposits have been made for. With terrorism on the increase, this is a section of travel insurance to watch out for as some policies will only cover for acts of terrorism when you are in a foreign country.

The biggest determining factor as to the cost of travel insurance will be the age of the person(s) on the policy. If the airline, cruise line or tour operations file for bankruptcy then almost all travel insurance policies include financial default coverage if the program is purchased within 15 days of making the initial trip deposit.

To save some costs however, it is worth checking any other policies you may have that will cover other aspects of the rip otherwise you will be paying for them twice. This is well wroth checking as there is no point covering the same area twice as all it does is increase the cost.

Be sure to check the fine print for hidden limitations on these existing policies and after researching your current polices, it may seem you are already covered on the surface, but the fine print could limit certain conditions, circumstances, situations or locations.

When looking for a new car, you should avoid cars with non-factory-installed or aftermarket accessories & components. If you see a vehicle on the car lot you like, but it does not have a specific component or accessory you want, the salesperson will probably tell you the dealership can have the component or accessory installed.

Some of the usual third-party items include: sunroofs, backup cameras, navigational systems, indash or under dash stereos, remote starters, alarms, and DVD players. The trick is to stick to factory installed items.

It may be a pain, but you’ll have to wait for the dealer to locate the car you’re looking for or order the car you want. But there are some big benefits. The best thing is that your accessories will be covered if you have any problems with them or the car. What happens with aftermarket components, is that unofficial installations may end up voiding your car warranty.

Third-party accessories are normally installed at facilities though not been approved by a manufacturer or the dealership. And dealerships do not usually extend a warranty to cover third-party installations. The car manufacturer certainly doesn’t provide any guarantee because the components don’t come from them.

The third-party installer may not even offer a warranty on the components. Therefore, if you are having problems with aftermarket components or if they are affecting the factory-installed components, you may have few options.

Chances are very good your state’s lemon laws are not come apply to your situation. We have scores of cases where things have gone wrong with aftermarket components and the law didn’t provide any remedies.

* The battery went completely dead when a remote starter was installed wrong.

* The ad-on sunroof installed by a third party leaked like a sieve every time it rained.

* An incorrectly installed DVD player actually kept the car from starting.

* The third-party GPS component ruined that the entire vehicles, electrical system.

Despite these significant problems, none of these vehicles qualified for relief under the lemon law. These people had to either live with the problems or have the aftermarket components removed.

Components or accessories added to you car might just void the cars warranty and cost you plenty in the long run.

Custom color contact lenses come in two types, prosthetic and special effects contact lenses. They can be manufactured to hide an eye defect or just to simply hide an eye injury and also to be used as special effects in the world of theatre and movies. In this article, we will try to discuss both.

Prosthetic Custom Color Contact Lenses

Prosthetic custom contact lenses are mostly hand painted and considered to be a labor of love. They are mostly used to replace an eye or eyes that have been completely damaged. They are made to look so close to a normal eye that people often do not notice them at all.

Custom made soft contact lenses are manufactured with materials that are special to allow for very comfortable wear. They are also made so that they will easily bond to the multi-layered pigments that are used to give depth and definition that are very close to the real deal.

As prosthetic lenses are made to order, and can only be used by the one person, the prices for these custom color contact lenses are extremely high and sometimes cost up to a few thousands of dollars. It is primarily due to this reason that companies that manufacture these lenses do not usually offer any kind of refunds as they are one of a kind and only suited to an individual.

You must make an appointment for a thorough examination with any of the many companies that manufacture these lenses, prior to making your purchase. During this examination, you will be color matched, measured, fitted and any special needs will be attended to.

Prosthetic custom color contact lenses can last up to two years if well cared for and for that reason, they will required regular maintenance just like any other contact lenses. Except from astigmatism, custom color contact lenses can be made to correct nearly all vision problems.

Special Effects Custom Color Contact Lenses

Special effects custom color contact lenses have been used in movies and theatrical production for many years before they were available to the general public. If you search the Internet, you will be able to many online stores that offer these lenses for sale.

As with any lens, an initial consultation and examination must be made and patients must be fitted for contacts by an eye doctor. Special effects lenses can be made to correct vision as well as for aesthetic effect.

Each contact lens is designed customized to the request of the buyer. Some of the effects available include, bloody or hemorrhaged eyes, aged eyes, cataracts, blind effects, and mirrored eyes.

Although quite expensive when compared to normal contact lenses, custom color contact lenses are like a piece of art and if treated properly can last several years. The lenses will you with lasting entertainment whether you are a professional working in theatre and movies or just to wear on special occasions like Halloween.
