For several years now there has been considerable argument about prostate cancer and the subject of preventing prostate cancer specifically remains to some extent controversial. Although, as with the majority of cancers, men do not themselves cause their own prostate cancer, there are clearly a number of risk factors for developing the disease and there is much which can be done, if not to actually prevent it, then without doubt to reduce your risk of developing it.
The first step in prostate cancer prevention is simply to understand that you are at risk of getting the disease and to understand precisely why you are at risk.
There can be no question that men who have a family history of prostate cancer are at higher risk and that the risk for someone with a close relative suffering from prostate cancer is approximately twice that of someone without any family history. With two close relatives this risk increases to approximately five times that of someone with no family history and with three close relatives your risk reaches a staggering ninety-seven percent.
The difficulties here is that many men do not know their family history, frequently because many fathers, grandfathers or brothers have died as a result of other illnesses without ever knowing they were suffering from prostate cancer. This happens because prostate cancer frequently develops late in life and can be an extremely slow growing form of cancer. As a consequence there is a very good chance that individuals will develop other conditions at the same time as their prostate cancer and it is these other conditions which ultimately result in their death.
Accordingly, if you are uncertain of your family history, then a good point at which to start is to check things out if you can. If this is not possible to do so, then it is probably a good idea to err on the side of caution and believe that the risk might be there rather than assume that you are in the clear.
Another important factor is race. African American men for example are at greater risk than Hispanic men who, in turn, are at higher risk than Caucasian men. The risk for an African American man is roughly sixty percent higher than that of a Caucasian man.
Yet another risk factor is diet and men living in Western countries such as the United States or the United Kingdom are at higher risk as a result of the high fat levels in many Western diets. Here for the first time we have a risk factor that you can actually do something about and reducing the fat in your diet and eating things like more vegetables and fresh fruit can lower your risk quite considerably.
Now, at this point we start to run into difficulty because, beyond the principle of lowering levels of fat in your diet, views start to differ when it comes to looking at other aspects of the diet that might be helpful in prostate cancer prevention.
There is little doubt that levels of such things as vitamins and minerals in your diet can have a significant affect on your general health and will certainly have a part to play when it comes to prostate health. However, working out precisely which vitamins and minerals play a part is a difficult matter and is a subject all of its own.

Human beings have worked with wood for centuries, cutting it and shaping it for dozens of different purposes. In addition to creating housing for protection from the weather, men and women have cut, drilled and shaped wood by hand for many other purposes. What has changed more than anything in the woodworking world are the tools that people have used to turn wood into useful objects.
While the fundamental goals of drilling and sawing remained the same, the amount of time needed to get these jobs done has been shortened considerably. In addition, the human energy expended has decreased while precision has increased in many cases. Woodworking machinery is the primary reason for these changes.
Basic hand tools have existed for centuries, many still used in exactly the same manner as they were years ago. The hammer and chisel are still ideal for shaping wood, and in the hands of a master may be all the tools needed. Similarly, a basic metal “square” is perfect for creating precision edges and corners.
For those with extensive experience in woodworking and in equipping a workshop, there are three pieces of industrial machinerythat should be employed. While there are specialty items used for particular projects, nearly every worker in wood can make use of the following items.
The circular saw can be handheld or can be table mounted. A table saw can provide versatility not generally available with the handheld saw. A precision table saw allows adjustments to the angles for mitre cuts, and allows use of jigs for precision cutting. A handheld circular saw is more portable of course, and can be ideal for the worker who must move around a work site. Interchangeable blades on either of these saw types allow the individual to cut materials other than wood.
Those who want to try more complex cuts or more eye-appealing designs opt for the router (usually with table). The support and steadiness of a table-based router help with these intricate cuts. Adjustable table routers make detail cutting and designs possible at a comfortable height.
The craftsman who works in wood may also create unique toys for children and collectors, as well as wooden signs and mantelpieces. An ideal tool for these projects is the jigsaw.
These are just three of the basic items of woodworking machinery needed by the experience amateur woodworker or by the professional builder and craftsman. While many homeowners and amateur craftsmen use basic hand tools and the simplest of power tools, professional and semi-professional craftsmen have extensive inventories of equipment and machinery. For example, an amateur can, with some practice, cut fine crown moulding with a basic saw. A mitre box or mitre saw are usually required to make this task successful. For flooring and wall trim, many people use the manual hammer method, while others may move to the power nailer, which is less demanding physically.
Most experienced workers in wood know that a combination of traditional tools and modern machinery allow sturdy construction, beautiful designs and simple elegance to come from today’s workshops. Each individual develops a preference for particular tools and equipment, depending on projects and goals.

Are you thinking about a holiday to Cuba? Excellent, this is one island in the Caribbean where you will want to do more than just a beach holiday. The people are bright, self-assertive and handsome. The heritage of Cuba is so rich as are the monuments and palaces throughout the country. A holiday to Cuba is something you should really consider in your agenda.
These are just some of the facts to consider and places and things you should not miss in your holidays to Cuba.
Hiking: The most ambitious hiking trails are to be found in the Sierra Maestra national park, but there are also delightful rambles in the forests around the Gran Piedra and, in the west, Soroa and Viales. In the absence of detailed trail-maps, it may be best to hire a local guide.
Havana: The city, with a population of 2,180,000 the biggest in the Caribbean, mirrors all phases of the island’s turbulent story. Nowhere in Latin America will you find more handsome buildings from the Spanish colonial era. Palaces, mansions and churches are being painstakingly conserved in the old quarter.
La Hahana Vieja (a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1982), along with fortresses around the harbour. Garish evidence of the US presence in Cuban history is there in the grand old 50s Chevrolets and Cadillacs miraculously still rolling through the streets-and in the Vedado district’s hotels that were head quarters for the Mafia’s night clubs and casinos.
Calle Obispo: One of the most colourful streets in La Habana Vieja, it boasts at No. 117 the town’s oldest remaining house (1648), a single-storey building repainted bright blue and white with fine tiled roof the same side, the Hotel Ambos Mundos at the corner of Mercaderes, has preserved Ernest Hemingway’s room as a small museum, with his bed, one of his old Royal typewriters and other memorabilia, including a facsimile of his manuscript of For Whom the Bell Tolls. There is a splendid view of the old town from the hotel’s rooftop bar. Across the street is the popular Caf Paris.
The list of places to visit and things to do goes on and on. The options are immeasurable for your holidays to Cuba. Stay tune to this article directory as there will be more useful information about Cuba coming soon.

In the past few years, bamboo flooring has risen significantly in popularity. That’s because people are hearing that it’s longer lasting and more environmentally friendly than traditional hardwood. Bamboo is a smart choice for a number of sitations and has many advantages.
However, it might not be the right choice for everyone. Hardwood has a long tradition of use in homes, and works well with some antique house styles. Installing hardwood floors takes a lot longer than installing bamboo flooring, though for some people the traditional look of wood outweighs the inconvenience.
Bamboo is a spectacularly beautiful floor type, but it’s not the same as a traditional wood floor. Color variation in bamboo is minimal, so it tends to be more uniform than old fashioned wood.
For some, this is a benefit, but for others, it’s a reason to avoid bamboo. If you’re not certain which you prefer, remember that bamboo is a lot more convenient. The pieces are ready to install and there’s no dust and little mess.
If you love a traditional look, or are restoring a vintage home or building to its original state, you may be turned off by bamboo. However, the market is beginning to develop bamboo flooring that looks a lot more like traditional wood. So, in the future, you may have more options than simply using difficult to sustain wood floors.
Some of the most common hardwoods in traditional flooring are Jarrah and Blackbutt, though many other woods are also used. These attractive, durable woods are harvested from trees that take a long time to grow. Also, moisture or changes in temperature can cause your wood flooring to splinter or warp, requiring refinishing.
Many people also feel that hardwood flooring is too expensive and environmentally unfriendly for use in the majority of homes. Bamboo grows up to thirty centimeters a day, while hardwoods can take years or even decades to reach a size where they can be harvested. A bamboo grove that’s sustainably managed can be harvested every few years by comparison. Add into that the decrease in proper management of hardwood forests, and you have a serious concern.
Bamboo needs no fertilizer, and is reasonably sustainable to farm. However, that doesn’t make every bamboo product ecologically friendly. Learn where your bamboo comes from - some plantations use chemical fertilizers and pesticides, and plant unsustainable monocultures.
You’ll find these kinds of practices mostly in China and other countries where regulation is minimally enforced. Fortunately, it takes only a little research to tell you if you’re getting some of the large percentage of products made from sustainably produced bamboo.
If durability is a serious concern, bamboo is the better choice over hardwood. Bamboo stands up well to daily wear, and there are a number of floors that come with a warranty. You should, however, be willing to spend the money for a quality product that will last out the years.
Where contraction and expansion due to weather are problems, bamboo holds up well. Compared to a hardwood veneer, it can be resurfaced more often, and needs no treatments or waxing to keep looking good. However, some products do contain environmentally unfriendly glues - look for nontoxic types when you buy your flooring.
If you’re curious about bamboo flooring and how it holds up in comparison to hardwood, take a look online. You can do a lot of research and see all the products available from various manufacturers. Take a look and see if bamboo might be the floor for you.

Used car buyers factor in a vehicle’s mileage when they’re deciding the condition and value of the used vehicle. Odometer readings and disclosures are therefore a very important part in determining a vehicle’s condition and value.
It’s because of those reasons that state and federal laws restrict both odometer tampering, and also a false odometer disclosure papers. federal laws require those seller provided a detailed odometer disclosure statement and certifies the following:
(a) the odometer reflects the actual mileage,
(b) the odometer shows the actual number of miles the vehicle has traveled even if it is beyond mechanical limits of the odometer, or
(c) the odometer is not showing the correct mileage.
Other than modifying the odometer by rolling back the display, shady used vehicle dealers also ignore evidence of fraud or tampering. Sometimes, the odometer readings that have been recorded in the repair records of the vehicle are inconsistent.
One example would be where the mileage drops during one calendar year. That’s pretty much a give away that something is going on. In other cases, the seller may notice that the odometer has been tampered with by seeing missing screws or scratch marks on the odometer casing.
Such signs would put the seller on notice that the odometer may have been tampered with and would require the seller to investigate the odometer’s accuracy further. If the seller ignored these signs, it would not have a solid basis for certifying that “the odometer reflects the actual mileage.”
Car buyers who are concerned about the accuracy of odometer readings on a used vehicle can check the services such as Autocheck that gather background information on used vehicles. sometimes even these background reports are not accurate so. Another option is to take your car to a specialty garage where they can check for signs of tampering.
If a seller does tamper with the odometer or fails to provide accurate odometer disclosures, it does so at its own peril, because the federal law imposes severe penalties on violators. Buyers should be aware, however, that the federal law does not require odometer disclosures for vehicles over ten years old.

True coffee lovers always drink their coffee black, yes? Wrong. Today, there are more flavors and blends of coffee than there in any wine selection, so let loose and start enjoying the 101 different ways to taste the marvelous gift of coffee.
The creativity of blends is nearly endless. One Indonesian blend combines Sumatran and the coffee beans of Papua New Guinea to create a tasty, full-bodied brew. What a surprise to those who never knew that Papua New Guineans even grew coffee. But, Sumatra can be mixed with more than just other Indonesian beans. Another great mixture is Sumatran with Colombian Patron to produce a delicious, dark roasted blend that combines to coffee perfection.
In addition to blends, flavorings can also make for a delicious coffee treat. Adding almond, vanilla and even cherry to a Brazilian can soften the acid and sweeten the brew, while a banana hazelnut flavoring turns a regular robusta into a bit more than a decent cup of coffee. Yet, a huge coffee breakthrough is the Tahitian vanilla latte, a dangerously delicious treat.
As far as making a mocha, the variety of chocolates is equivocal to that of the wide array of different beans. A Yemeni mixed with a hint of dark chocolate can enhance an already wonderful blend. Or, perhaps try an American roast with a hint of Ghiradelli milk chocolate when something heavy is to be avoided.
Coffee variations are as plentiful as they are delicious and delightful, but they are not limited to just beans, flavorings and roasts. Several different liqueurs and liquors offer even another twist for coffee lovers.
For instance, a Jamaican forms a solid base to which you can add brown sugar, dessert pears, and a good amount of rum or brandy. Or, try using apricots instead of the pears for another twist. Another tasty treat is to try Amaretto?s sweetness with a Costa Rican blend, that is if you prefer to get intoxicated and sober all with the same beverage.
Coffee and cocoa is a favorite for those who enjoy their coffee cut. You can enjoy it cold or hot, as Mexican coffee and cocoa beans can combine for a delicious treat in any season.
The coffee innovations do not end with cocoa. Frozen cappuccinos are becoming increasingly popular. They can wake you up when drowsy and refresh you when you need that something special to awaken your taste buds. Try adding a bit of chocolate mint flavoring for an extra zing.
It really is not clear why a true coffee lover would want decaf, but for these coffee drinkers there is still a wide selection of coffees from which to choose, including Decaf Marrakesh, Italian Espresso and even a Dutchman. Regardless of your caffeine preferences, broaden your coffee horizons to enjoy the many blends, flavors and options available today. Coffee is not just ?coffee? anymore!

The reason that many people choose to hire a wedding planner is because of all the work that is associated with planning a wedding. One decision that must be thought through thoroughly is the selection of your florist and wedding flowers. Choosing flowers can be a difficult task if you have no idea of what you are looking for.
The first thing that you should do is make some decisions before you go to the florist’s shop. Most brides have some idea of what they are interested in before they find the right florist. If you have no idea of what kind of flowers you want for your wedding you should start looking now. You will have to consider the bouquet that you will hold as well as the bridesmaids, flowers for the church, the reception and the boutonni?res for the groomsmen. You should have a budget in mind when you begin looking for your flowers. If you don’t, set it now and make sure that you don’t exceed the budget. Make a list of what you are going to need and start browsing for flowers.
You can get some great ideas online for the flowers that you will select for your wedding. Consider the colors that you are using in your wedding theme. This should be where you start.
Color is one of the considerations, but the shape of the flowers is also a big factor in the selection of your wedding flowers. There are some great unique shapes and colors that you can use for your wedding bouquet. You don’t have to stick with the usual roses and lilies. Spice things up a bit with your bouquet.
Get a list of the flowers that you think you might like to use in your wedding and make some appointments with the local florists. When you go in to discuss your wedding, you will need to give them the date of your wedding and the ideas that you had for your flowers. They should be able to let you know if the flowers that you want are available and the cost of your arrangements. If you have chosen a rare and hard to come by flower, you might have to pay a little more for it.
If you are planning a floral centerpiece for the tables at the reception, you should consider purchasing them with the same florist. This will allow you to get a discount for the amount of flowers that you are ordering. Ask about this when you go to the florist for your order. Make sure that they are delivered in advance of the other flowers so there will be time to set them up on the tables.
There is a great deal of coordination involved in the planning of a wedding and the single act of the flowers showing up late can throw the delicate balance completely off.
Have all of your interviews before you decide on one of them. There could be one further down on the list that will offer you a better deal on your flowers. Or you could meet a truly gifted florist who will be able to create the arrangements of a lifetime. But if you don?t interview them all, you will never know. Check out the florist before you decide to place an order. Check references and make sure that they are dependable and deliver exactly what they say they will. Spending your afternoon among all of the beautiful flowers is a great stress reliever. Make sure that you choose the right florist, of course. But at the same time relax and enjoy the beauty.

Although many people have heard of Forex trading, few people really understand just what it is all about and will probably believe that it is something for ‘big business’. Nothing could be farther from the truth and an increasing number of private people of quite modest means are trying their hand today.
There are many hundreds of currencies around the world but only a few are traded on the Forex (FX) market which concerns itself in the main with seven major currencies. In simple terms Forex trading is the purchase and sale of these seven currencies in pairs so that you may for instance buy Canadian Dollars by selling Japanese Yen. The idea is simply to buy a currency when it is at a low price and then to sell it once the price rises to make a profit. Naturally this sounds simple enough but, in the real world, it is not quite as easy as that and you will have to have a fair amount of knowledge before venturing into the market.
The FX market is the biggest financial market in the world and operates twenty four hours a day around the globe, which could go some way to explaining why so many people are attracted to it. Years ago trading currencies was the domain of the financial institutions and major banks but nowadays even private individuals can try their hand providing they do so through a broker.
Therefore, if you are interested in joining the fun then you need to begin by seeking out some training and either get yourself on a first rate training course or apprentice yourself to a seasoned trader.
It is crucial that you understand how the currency market works before leaping in as it is an unpredictable market with few if any barriers and boundaries and it is easy to lose your shirt if you do not know what you are doing.
You will have to start by understanding trading psychology because even the most successful traders both make and lose money as the market moves up and down and it can be a difficult ride at times not simply in financial terms but also mentally.
You will also also to get to grips with the tools of the trade like mapping and charting which are done nowadays using quite complex software. As with most software the results you get out depend very much on the data which you feed in and it takes time to learn how to master these tools.
Discipline is another extremely important aspect of trading and is something that does not come naturally to most of people. It is all too simple to get carried away when you are trading profitably and to over-reach yourself only to be brought back to earth with a thud. Establishing your own trading principles and rules is vital for your financial success.
If you are tempted to jump in with both feet then take a moment to have a good hard think before doing so. Very few beginners who try to go it alone without the necessary training are successful and, even when they are successful in the short term, they invariable crash and burn before very long.
There is nothing better than a good grounding in the principles of Forex trading and the confidence that it will give you will be mirrored in the success that you enjoy.
