Recently a good friend shared how she found a store where you could paint your own pottery. She had never done anything like this before in her life and was talking about how much she loved doing this. She explained how she couldn’t wait to go and found herself wanting to go paint everyday.
She then said something that took me completely off guard, “I’ve never done anything like this before in my life, I’m one of those people who have no talent, or an artistic bone in my body.” I asked her in shock if she truly believed that, and she said yes, she did.
I just don’t believe that about anyone. I think they have not found their unique talent or skill yet. Sometimes it’s due to lack of opportunity, or any other obstacle they’ve encountered. But what’s exciting is a process in life to continue to explore new areas to see where that fit is. Some of those talents are skills that need developed or learned some.
I have discovered in my life when I’m not doing something creative, there was something missing. That I felt off balance somewhat. I believe we are born with a need to express creativity. Sometimes it takes a process to find what’s blocking creativity.
Expand your thinking and definition of what creativity is. It isn’t only a person who can draw or paint or write. Most didn’t just take it up and were good at it at their first attempt. It was a natural talent, but it needed to be developed. They learned and practiced to become good at what they do. Just about anything and any medium can be created into art. Gardening can be an art form for instance. I’ve seen some gardens that truly were a work of art and almost breath taking. I’ve seen junk turned into art, there’s jewelry making, basket weaving, knitting, spinning your own yarn, photography, too much to list. Start thinking big.
Where does your interest lie? What are some areas you’ve told yourself, “someday I’d like to learn that.” What are some things that you’ve seen yourself asking and admiring all the small, finite details, wanting to know all about it? Those are some good areas to start exploring. Consider investing in some lessons on that subject.
Invest in yourself. Take a class, get a book or find a possible mentor. Put into action a commitment to learn. Each one who has mastered a skill goes through a learning process and starts at step one. Start. Put away the excuses and fears. It doesn’t have to be perfect; you don’t even need to show it to others if you don’t want to. Give yourself permission to fail, but give it enough time and dedication to see if it’s something that fits you or not. If it doesn’t, move on to try something else, but keep looking until you find that fit.
Creativity isn’t just about what we’re doing. It’s also about who we are as people. When we begin to move in our creativity, it will affect others around us as well. Its so amazing when you see that spark of creativity begin to spark creativity in those around us as well.

It would surely be easy to land a nanny job if you are a professional nanny. Although it is not easy to become a nanny, it’s also not impossible to become one. How do you become a professional nanny?
Start Somewhere
Sadly, there is no formal nanny academy. You can’t study to become a nanny before you find your first nanny job. The best teacher therefore would still always be experience. Just like every other nanny, you have to start somewhere. Your first few nanny experiences will give you a feel for the job and some basic knowledge about caring for kids.
Keep in mind though that first timers usually do not earn very much. Parents may also only hire you for a very short period of time. Don’t let the low pay and limited time get to you. Once you get considerable experience, you will be given more opportunities to work for higher pay. The key is to get experience.
Enroll in Special Courses
A crucial factor that parents consider is knowledge in first aid, CPR and child care. You may have a basic knowledge of these from related classes in school. Do make sure though that your knowledge is up to date and comprehensive. The only way to ensure that is to enroll for refresher courses or special classes.
Supplement what you have learned from special courses. Read the latest about child care from leading family magazines, books and online resources. Some parents may even opt to ask you questions related to child care and situations involving kids. Reading up will supply you with some good answers.
Join Groups
Others may be able to teach you to become a professional nanny. Those who already are professionals may be willing to share a few good points or two. You can find these experts in associations for nannies or informal online groups. Even forums may be able to yield good information that you may be able to use. Be careful though. You also need to have the wisdom to carefully sift through what you gather from informal sources. If you really want to follow a particular practice or method, make sure it is from a reputable and expert source.
Establish Relationships
Every profession needs clients. You are on your way to becoming a professional once you have client relationships. Understand that different families have different ways. Your way of communicating and relating to one may not work on another. Nonetheless, two important factors are a clear knowledge of your duties and a respect for parental role. This means you know exactly what is expected of you without overstepping your boundaries as a nanny. Parents should always have a final say when it comes to how their kids should be treated or disciplined.
Having satisfied clients is a sure sign of your growing expertise. In time, these satisfied families that you have worked for will become your recommendation and reference sources. It is not impossible for you to become a professional nanny. If you are determined to be one, then there is simply no stopping you.

A home for most people is the largest purchase they will ever enter into. Homeowners insurance protects the buyers and their investment in many ways. Having the proper insurance in place will ensure you are able to rebuild your home in the event of damages caused by any insured peril, without further cost to you. It also protects your investment in the contents of your home such as clothing, furniture, electronics, jewelry, etc. If you intend to borrow money for the purchase of your home, the lender will require that you have homeowners insurance in place.
What If I Am Planning To Build A New Home?
Nearly all insurance companies require that the insurance be in place before the basement or slab is poured. The moment you know when construction will start, you can request a quote. The insurance company will want the start and expected completion dates and details about the finished home. If you have an existing homeowners’ policy in place, contact your broker or agent, and they may simply add an endorsement to cover the construction of the new home.
If I Plan On Renovating My Home Do I Have To Arrange For Further Insurance?
Contact your agent before construction begins or additions are added to your home. Since you are making changes, your insurance companies must be informed. In addition, any renovations or additions will affect the value of your home and you will need to make sure that you are properly covered.
Are My Jewelry and Art Collection Covered By My Homeowners Insurance?
Homeowner insurance policies differ from company to company in the limits set for things like jewelry, art, photography equipment, musical instruments and so on. Study your policy carefully to find out what your specific limits are. If the worth of the items you are concerned with go beyond the limit, you will need to include them in order to have them insured. This may necessitate professional appraisals, pictures and detailed information related to every item.
Will My Homeowners Insurance Cover My Business If I Work From Home?
Most insurance companies offer coverage for home based businesses on their homeowner policies, but restrictions may apply. Get in touch with your insurance company with the details of your business, including any equipment particular to the business. Depending on the type of business, there may be an extra premium charged or you may have to obtain a separate policy.
If I Go On Vacation, Is My Homeowners Insurance Changed?
If you plan on going away for a period of time, you must enlighten your insurance company of the dates, and what provisions you have made to ensure your home and contents are safe. Insurance companies have various conditions for this and you should speak to your agent or broker to make certain you are in compliance. In case you sell your home and the home is empty, your policy will not cover any losses. You must phone your insurance company and arrange for the suitable insurance prior to the home becoming vacant.

A bouquet of flowers, an elaborate, well chose card, an envelope containing a handwritten note expressing our condolences in a very personal way. These are traditional and customary ways of expressing sympathy and sadness during the loss of a dear friend or relative. But what about giving a sympathy gift basket or sympathy gift during such occasions? Have you done so; or even consider it?
Flowers have always been seen as a way to lift one’s spirits, a simple way for those affected to see the vitality and beauty of life during times of grief. Well-written cards can express our thoughts and feelings when talking may not adequately do so.
But times do change, and despite our time-bound traditions, people are beginning to find other ways to send their condolences. Sending gifts is becoming a more common way to reach out to friends and family, and the gifts are tending to be somewhat trendy and modern.
Given the fact that we are well into the new millennium, new and modern is the order of the day. This should surprise no one. Many long-held traditions have, sooner or later, been challenged or questioned as the “only way” in all fields of life and experience, so why not during times of loss.
Sympathy gifts can come in all varieties, as long as it’s from the heart. Anything from a bouquet of flowers to a fruit or cheese basket can be an appropriate sympathy gift. Other great ideas are candles or a bottle of quality wine placed in a dignified basket or gift box. This can be a classy and stylish gift for any occasion, but may be especially appreciated when someone has lost a loved one.
When people see one of these nontraditional sympathy gifts, it often raises mixed feelings. Sometimes it does not seem appropriate to give a bottle of wine or basket of cheese at a time of loss. Many people think “there is no reason for celebration, so why give gifts of this type?” What really matters, however, is the sentiment behind the sympathy gift. The true purpose of any sympathy gift is to let the grieving family know that your thoughts and prayers are with them.
You may have a lot to choose from. Companies are seeing this new niche in the industry and are offering more options as part of their regular gift inventory. Some companies specialize in an exclusive line of gifts, and even offer consultants that can advise you on what type of gift might be the most appropriate.
For instance, some of the winemakers themselves have begun offering specialized packages for wines used as sympathy gifts. Of course, a warm, hand-written note is always a nice touch for a loved one who is grieving, but many of these packages can be sent as-is and the intent as a sympathy gift will be clear.

Do you know that expression “love is blind”? Love is blind because when our emotions are so involved, our brain doesn’t always operate at maximum efficiency! Everyone has experienced that “head over heels” feeling, and it’s exhilarating! It’s like walking through air, being happy and feeling the exuberance of youth, all at the same time.
You’ll often notice that you have a silly smile on your face for no particular reason, and you are so caught up in your feelings for the other person that you would be oblivious if the world stopped spinning. However, how confident are you that the person is really free?
What phone number do they want you to use? Will they only volunteer their cell phone number? Have you been invited back to their place? Do they sometimes need to leave urgently when the two of you are doing something?
Pull your head out of the clouds and honestly ask yourself if it seems like they have something to hide. The answer might not be pretty, so the question can be tough to ask. Of course you don’t want to imagine the love of your life lying to you or being married to someone else. But this is a grim reality for many people.
If you aren’t certain, you can pay attention to a few key things to know for sure. Pay careful attention to how the person acts. If they seem distracted or rushed, or if they are glued to their watch or often have to leave without warning, it may be a red flag. They could be deceiving their families and living a double life when they are with you.
Have you met his or her family? If they have offered to let you meet their parents, siblings or other family, chances are they are not already involved. If it has been quite a while and they still haven’t offered for you to meet their family, you might want to use a bit of caution.
There are also websites you can browse to perform a reverse phone number lookup. There is a lot of useful information to be found on these sites, simply by entering the phone number or address. If you don’t already have it, you will be able to access their home address along with the phone number.
You’ll be able to locate certificates of marriage and divorce so that you know their marital status. Additional information such as criminal history is also available. You will get so much peace of mind from this easy step.
If they have no spouse, chances are that they are simply afraid to commit or they have another reason for not wanting you to meet their family. You’ll at least have the peace of mind of knowing that you’re not a home wrecker. If you’re still uncertain, don’t just toss and turn at night wondering. Follow the steps above and finally find out for sure.

Records of Divorce and Marriage documents are required in a number of occasions. Such as changing your name, getting remarried or immigrating to another country. In the case of immigration, different country or states would have different requirements. Divorce Record is also use to check on prospective spouse and to determine the official marital status. And if you do consider marriage, it is a good idea to check whether there is any child support and alimony in his past relationship.
Certified copies of California Divorce Records could be obtained from The California Department of Public Health Office of Vital Records for a fee of $13. It maintains a central registry for California Divorce and Marriage Records. If you require certified copies of the actual divorce decrees, you will need to approach the Superior Court in the county where the divorce was filed. The Office of Vital Records only issues a Certificate of Record - and only for divorces that occurred between 1962 and June 1984. It includes the names of the parties to the divorce, the county where the divorce was filed, and the court case number. Due to the current high demand, turn around time can easily exceed 6 months.
You could also obtain California divorce records from the county courthouse where the divorce proceeding was filed. However that could be a hassle if traveling is a constraint. If we are constraint by time or not up to the task ourselves, turning to professional records providers will be a better solution. They do charge a nominal fee but it spares you all the hassle and very professional results are downloaded within minutes.
These online records information providers utilize a network of multiple data sources to let you find the exact records you are looking for. The members only area is constantly updated with new records and search capabilities. The main advantage is you could simply search for your request online.
As little as a first and last name and state of residency is suffice to initiate a search. It would normally run up a list of potential names that you could further zoom in. The better service provider could even deliver very comprehensive reports up to background check. Other than public resources, they also have access to private and privileged database.

Asbestos doesn’t pose any immediate danger unless it is disturbed or tampered with. When asbestos is messed with, dangerous fibers get released to the environment, leaving anyone living or working the near the asbestos exposed to its threat.
Asbestos can be released into the air and water in the form of tiny fibers of natural deposits that have been broken down. Having said this, it is asbestos fibers that will not get broken down, evaporate or dissolve.
Asbestos mainly affects the lungs and the membrane that surrounds them. Breathing high levels of asbestos fibers for a long period of time may result in scar-like tissue in the lungs and in the pleural membrane (lining) that surrounds the lung.
Don’t take the risk, have your asbestos treated before it gets the chance to have these damaging effects. If you have ceiling tiles, floor tiles, ceiling insulation or any other materials that contain or may contain asbestos, get them checked out and removed by asbestos experts, never try to solve the problem yourself.
It is essential that you seek advice from trained professionals and follow health and safety procedures before it spreads and this will eliminate all concerns related to asbestos. If you let asbestos get out of control, it could start having a negative effect on people’s health.
You and your organisation will need to be very careful to avoid employees damaging their own and others health by aggitating, dislodging or removing asbestos. There is still a lack of education and therefore many still aren’t aware of the risks posed by contact with asbestos.
It is for this reason that many companies brief and educate their employees on asbestos contained in their buildings. Although this is important, the best option by far is to get the asbestos removed safely by experts.
The trouble with asbestos is that usually you won’t know if there is a problem until it effects your own, friends, family or employees? health. Take no chances and get rid of your asbestos today.

There are tons of articles on the internet dedicated to how to make your wedding special and how to plan for the big day. There are instructions for brides on how to select the perfect dress, the right caterer, photographing the wedding and more. However, these are just the preliminaries.
But what about what comes after the wedding? Some “bridezillas” seem to have forgotten this important point. A wedding day is meant to be important because it is the start of your marriage. It seems so obvious that it might be silly to point it out, but when you hear brides to be discussing their future it becomes apparent that it’s necessary.
You would not believe what major issues brides and grooms forget to discuss before they walk down the aisle. It’s important to do because you don’t want to end up needing to interview top Austin, Texas divorce lawyers. There are some things that should be clear and out in the open well before you say “I do”. Having these discussions ahead of time are the best way to avoid a critical conflict later that might lead to divorce.
For those couples who are just moving in together after the wedding, there will be a period of getting to know each other and adaption. This is normal. No matter how great your love for each other, there will still be a period where you must adjust to each other’s ways and habits. Therefore, it is a good idea to agree to a plan that helps you make the adjustments to living together and getting used to working as a team.
Dividing up the tasks is important to your domestic happiness. You will want to decide who will do such tasks as preparing meals and laundering clothes. If your husband has lived on his own previously and performed all the tasks himself competently, you may be shocked to discover that he now expects his new wife to take them all upon herself since they are a married couple. Such ideas are best discussed before you get married so neither party is shocked or dismayed after the vows are exchanged. Don’t wait until you need to watch this online divorce workshop.
Both men and women may have thought about having children in the future. But what is the future? Is it next year? Whenever you get that higher salary? It is advisable to make everything very clear on this point. Often, couples believe that they are on the same page without having ever discussed it explicitly. Irritation ensues when it turns out they weren’t as in tune as they thought.
Realize that happy marriages don’t just spring up like flowers but require cooperation, planning, and understanding. After planning the perfect wedding, it is sensible to plan the most perfect marriage possible. While the wedding day is very important, it is still not as important as a couple’s entire future. The frustration of having a husband who does not help with any chores or household responsibilities, even though you assumed he’d be willing, will have a more longstanding effect on your enjoyment and success of the marriage than the most beautiful wedding photographs.

Even if you have taken all the necessary precautions and given your home the tightest security, there are ways they can be evaded. If the present home security arrangement falls short of catching the guys with evil intentions, at least protect your home by taking action to seize them later.
Home security camera offers the right solution for such situations. By recording what goes on in and around your home, you can help to ensure that if any thieves rob your home (or any other type of criminal activity occurs there), you can help to catch them and have your belongings returned.
Seizing the Intruders
Any home security camera system goes beyond recording of visitors and defending your home. Your mind is at rest as there is a fool-proof shield protecting your property and you are fully aware of what is happening within the walls of your home. In addition to this, home security cameras have become much cheaper in recent years as the market has grown larger and the technology has been improved. Thus, you do not have to wait for lady fortune to smile on you before you install this which can be done fast.
The modern version of home security cameras are now available in wireless models where data signals are transmitted to a videotape or a digital video recorder (DVR) equipped with hard disk drive. While not much wiring is necessary for the camera, it still has to be connected to an electrical supply line. To economize on your electricity bills, you could install a power saver switch which is actually a motion sensor, sensing any motion in the vicinity. This lets the camera to take video pictures of all movements and informs you when the perpetrator committed the crime.
So, home security cameras are cheap, and they provide a level of protection that was previously only found in businesses. However if anything, they are worth more in your home because they relate directly to your safety, whereas in a business they only protect material goods. Many home security systems help to protect your home by alerting you if an intruder is detected, but a camera can help to identify any criminals lurking around your home. If you are still in a dilemma about home security, think whether spending a few hundred dollars is worth it considering the priceless peach of mind that it offers.

INTRODUCTION: About 15,280 women die every year in the US from ovarian cancer. Despite this, the 5-year survival rate for the disease has improved greatly in the last 30 years. The prognosis of ovarian cancer is closely tied to the stage at diagnosis. There is no approved screening method available at present for ovarian cancer.
The Mayo Clinic has one of the largest ovarian cancer practices in the North America, treating more than 1,200 persons in 2006 who had a principal or secondary diagnosis of cancer of the ovaries. Mayo Clinic uses a great variety of imaging techniques to detect ovarian cancer, including PET scans, CT scans and MRIs.
WOMEN: Cancer of the ovaries is the seventh most common cancer in women in the United States, with over 25,000 women newly diagnosed each year with this disease. It is the fifth leading cause of deaths by cancer in women and frequently does not result in symptoms until the cancer is morely widely spread. Only about 20% of patients are diagnosed early, when the disease may be curable. Ovarian cancer usually occurs in women over 50, but it can also affect younger women. About 90 percent of women who get ovarian cancer are over the age of 40, with the greatest number being aged 55 years or more.
RISK: All women are at risk for ovarian cancer, but older women are more likely to get the disease than those who are younger. The precise cause of cancer of the ovaries is unknown, but several risk and contributing factors have been identified. Women who have been pregnant have a 50% less risk for developing ovarian cancer compared with women who have not. Oral contraceptive use decreases the risk of cancer of the ovaries. These factors support the belief that risk for ovarian cancer is related to ovulation and that conditions that suppress this ovulatory cycle play a protective role.
Genetic factors and Family history plays an important part in the risk of developing ovarian cancer also. A history of breast cancer increases a person’s risk of developing ovarian cancer. The lifetime risk for developing ovarian cancer is 1%. This compares to a 4-5 percent chance when 1 first-degree family member is affected, rising to 7% when 2 relatives are affected.
DISEASE: The beginning stages of the disease causes minimal, nonspecific, or no symptoms. The disease is uncommon in women younger than 40 years of age, after which the incidence increases. Based on the surgical staging, females are classified as having limited disease (stage I and II) or advanced disease (stage III and IV). Women with limited disease are classified as having low or high risk for recurrence as follows: Low risk for recurrence includes the following; Grade 1 or 2 disease, No tumor on external surface of the ovary, Negative peritoneal cytology, No ascites, Tumor growth limited to the ovaries.
High risk for recurrence includes, Grade 3 disease, Preoperative rupture of the capsule, Tumor on the external surface of the ovary, Positive peritoneal cytology, Ascites Tumor growth outside of the ovary, Clear cell tumors, Surgical stage II for postoperative treatment. chemo drugs are indicated in all patients with ovarian cancer except those persons with surgical-pathological stage I disease with low-risk characteristics.
SYMPTOMS: can include a Heavy feeling in pelvis, Pain in lower abdomen, vaginal bleeding, Weight gain or loss, Abnormal periods, Back pain for unknown reasons that gets worse, Gas, Nausea, Vomiting, or Decreased appetite. Symptoms may be caused by something other than cancer, but the only way to know for sure is to see your doctor, nurse, or other health care professional.
Traditionally, it was believed that ovarian cancer does not produce any characteristic symptoms until the tumor is widespread, and that early symptoms of ovarian cancer were not recognizable. However, in June 2007, the American Cancer Society, along with other medical societies including the Gynecologic Cancer Foundation and the Society of Gynecologic Oncologists, released a consensus statement about possible early symptoms of ovarian cancer. This statement was based on research suggesting that some of the early symptoms of ovarian cancer can, in fact, be recognized.
TREATMENT: Treatment is usually surgery followed by treatment with chemotherapy drugs. There are also many combinations of these treatment methods and it is often worthwhile to get a second opinion about treatment before entering into a specific program. The greater the knowledge you have, the easier it is to make decisions about your personal treatment plan. Arlene Dunlop is a breast and ovarian cancer survivor whose treatments have kept her well and out enjoying life.
Conclusion: Ovarian cancer actually represents a group of different tumors that arise from diverse types of tissue contained within the ovary. Ovarian cancer can invade, shed, or spread to other organs. A malignant ovarian tumor can grow and invade organs next to the ovaries, such as the fallopian tubes and uterus. Ovarian cancer often causes signs and symptoms, so it is important to pay attention to your body and know what is normal for you.
Cancer of the ovaries most frequently appears in women who are more than 60 (about 50% of patients are over age 65), although it may occur in younger women who have a family history of the disease. Ovarian cancer is the most common reason for cancer death from gynecologic tumors in the United States. Cancer of the ovaries is diagnosed in about 23,000 women in the US each year. Ovarian cancer is a frightening diagnosis, but coming to it with knowledge and information helps a great deal. The earlier it is found and treated, the better your chances are for recovery.
