I kind of feel uneasy with this joke. I love Ricky Gervais, and think he has great tallent, and I know comedians should have a lot of freedom to express different ideas, but it just seems a bit weird getting a laugh about the holocaust in this context.

Nietzche predates existentialism by a few decades.

same fucking thing mate, and its not "hippy bullshit" just because i dont let things bother me, it doesnt make me a hippy does it? just shut up you boring old twat

I refuse to look beyond the first page as the political conversations seem, to me, absolutely bereft of intellectual credibility. Nietzsche was more concerned with the existential movement than this hippie bullshit you are talking about.

...worry about yourself, and what is going on in your personal life. Start enjoying the day to day on goings that happen in your life, instead of having pointless arguments on a video of a stand up comedian! Yeah I know taxes and that can influence people's lives, but if we spent our whole lives worrying about how well this country is run, theres no time to enjoy the simple pleasures of life?Seeing your girlfriend smile, having a nice cup of tea, or getting into a nice warm bed :) |
